Fine. Whatevaaahh.

So because she told me to, even though it's a bunch of nonsensical CRAP, I'm posting this.
*in hyena voice*
BE PREPARRREEDDD.
----------

Once upon a time, back before Cinderella and just a while after Rapunzel’s time, there was a princess named Marna. Now, though she was a princess, Marna wasn’t pretty – In fact, she was one of the most ugliest princesses ever – with frizzy brown hair, a pudgy nose, a skinny figure, and eyes the color of mold and dirt mixed together in a bucket of slime. She had no dashing princes coming to the castle trying to marry her or witches haunting her because her mom ate some weird cabbage, but was rather ordinary. In fact, if her parents hadn’t been the king and queen, she would’ve been the exact same, if not worse off, than any of the other town girls.
Now, everyone in the world at this time had learned from Sleeping Beauty to keep your good fairies close and your bad fairies closer, but sadly, Marna’s parents had taken that pretty seriously and, when she was born, recruited Greg, a drowsy fairy who didn’t take baths and wasn’t completly all there in the head, to be her protector and guide for life.
One happy, sunny day, Prince Robitan, the most handsome, most eloquent prince on the face of the world in all time (next to Prince Charming, who was now in his late seventies and looking older than ever), came to Marna’s kingdom, the Kingdom of Dod. Of course, all of the Doddish Princesses had heard of this, and had immediately started having beauty competitions between themselves. Marna, being unbelievably hideous, was never invited or considered to be in any of them, making her depressed and even uglier than she already was.
“Greg!” the Princess squacked miserably. “Turn me into the most beautiful girl in Dod! Make my voice as smooth as silk and my looks more attracting than a magnet!”
Greg, who was busying himself by popping zits on his forehead, moaned. “Aw, come on, Princess! I’m busy!”
Marna reached over and grabbed the fairy by his impish ear. “NOW!” She croaked.
Greg sighed, and with a single stomach rumble, had turned Marna into...
A rabbit the exact same nasty greenish color of her eyes.
“GREG, you stupid, ignorant fairy!” She yelled, but since she was a rabbit, and an ugly one at that, she just squeaked loudly and Greg was easily able to ignore her.
Shocked and confused, Marna went outside to eat some grass, of which she found was extremely appetizing to her rabbit self, and then sat down on her haunches and cried and cried for hours on end.
Lucky for Marna, Prince Robitan’s fairy godmother, Erena, was strolling about the royal neighborhoods.
“AH!” Erena cried upon seeing the ugly rabbit. “What happened to you, mongrel?!”
Fairies, by choice, can understand animals, so thankfully, Marna was able to explain.

TOLD YOU SO.
It's making me argh. A lot.

TOM CRUISE!

So I'm sitting here watching Jerry McGuire, and am totally currently taking the side of hating that jerk Tom.

Because he's completely taking advantage of poor, sweet Renee.

And I like her because she looks like Nicole Kidman.

Anywhooo.
I'm pretty psyched about talking to the WR crew last night. That was freaking amazing, even though they sounded like a crazy crowd of people all herded into a room, hahaha. That was inSANE, and I love you guys - Even the ones I'd never met, because seriously, if you hang around those people, you're golden. No lie. :)

"Bye, guys!"
"BYE LAUREN!"

That was awesome. :D

Oh, okay, so I was spread out on my bed after taking an amazing nap this afternoon (be jealous), just thinking about random stuff. One of my random thoughts was about little kids, which eventually led to one about Barbies, and how I used to LOVE them. Like, I had hundreds. But to me, when I started playing with them, they became whoever I wanted them to be, and their story played out by itself, practically.

I MISS THAT.

:)

And When You Dream, Dream BIG!

Because, dangit, dreaming small gets you NOWHERE.

Haha.
New song. It gets repetitive, but I still love it. I'll probably change it tomorrow. Maybe.

And the lyrics!!! INSPIRRRIINNNGGG!

DREAM BIG
Ryan Shupe and the Rubberbands

When you cry, be sure to dry your eyes,
'Cause better days are sure to come.
And when you smile, be sure to smile wide,
And don't let them know that they have won.
And when you walk, walk with pride,
And don't show the hurt inside,
Because the pain sill soon be gone.

(Chorus)
And when you dream, dream big,
As big as the ocean, blue.
'Cause when you dream it might come true.
But when you dream, dream big.

And when you laugh, be sure to laugh out loud,
'Cause it will carry all your cares away.
And when you see, see the beauty all around and in yourself,
And it will help you feel okay.
And when you pray, pray for strength to help to carry on,
But when the troubles come your way.

(Chorus)
And when you dream, dream big,
As big as the ocean, blue.
'Cause when you dream it might come true.
But when you dream, dream big.

(Dream big.)
(Dream big.)

When you cry be sure to dry your eyes,
cause better days are sure to come.
And when you smile be sure to smile wide, and
don't let them know that they have one.
And when you laugh be sure to laugh out loud,
'Cause it will carry all your cares away.
And when you see, see the beauty all
around and in yourself, and it will help you feel okay.
And when you pray, pray for strength to
help to carry on when the troubles come your way.

Chorus 2x

NEW PROJECT!

[13:08] missannapants: okso, tell me a story. :P
[13:08] darnedpencil: Once upon a time,
[13:08] darnedpencil: there was a princess.
[13:08] darnedpencil: who was ugly.
[13:08] darnedpencil: and had a fairy godmother who was always drunk.
[13:09] darnedpencil: so one day, the prince came to town and the girl tried to get her godmother to make her pretty.
[13:09] darnedpencil: except she got turned into a trash-green rabbit instead.
[13:09] darnedpencil: and she cried.
[13:09] darnedpencil: the prince's godmother stopped by,
[13:09] darnedpencil: and saw the girl,
[13:10] darnedpencil: and laughed at her, saying she was as ugly inside as she was on the outside.
[13:10] darnedpencil: But the princess said no, and that she would prove the godmother wrong.
[13:10] darnedpencil: so she went out, for a whole year, doing nothing but good.
[13:10] darnedpencil: and not telling anyone that she was a rabbit-princess.
[13:11] darnedpencil: (but the people sometimes got a little freaked, since she was an ugly rabbit)
[13:11] darnedpencil: anyways.
[13:11] darnedpencil: the prince was upset one day,
[13:11] darnedpencil: because he couldn't find the right song to sing to a beautiful princess in the NEXT kingdom.
[13:12] darnedpencil: so the princess, exasperated and kind of irritated that she had to help HER prince woo some other woman,
[13:12] darnedpencil: had to give him the perfect song ever.
[13:12] darnedpencil: and the godmother, seeing this, made her beautiful --- AFTER the prince and his princess were married.
[13:13] darnedpencil: the princess was depressed,
[13:13] darnedpencil: but little did she know that the prince's brother,
[13:13] darnedpencil: a sweet kid with more than enough smarts,
[13:13] darnedpencil: actually lived next door.
[13:13] darnedpencil: and he was also hideous.
[13:14] darnedpencil: But, she was so depressed by her prince's loss, that she decided to be ugly again.
[13:14] darnedpencil: and one day, the prince saw her.
[13:14] darnedpencil: the YOUNGER prince, that is.
[13:14] darnedpencil: and he thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world, as he saw her sit and do her math without a royal tutor.
[13:15] darnedpencil: (she was very smart)
[13:15] darnedpencil: so he had HIS godmother turn HIM into a rabbit to try and win her heart.
[13:15] darnedpencil: he spent all his time with her, though she didn't know he was a prince,
[13:15] darnedpencil: and ended up realizing that she was falling in love with an animal.
[13:16] darnedpencil: and the godmother, seeing THIS, decided the poor girl had suffered enough,
[13:16] darnedpencil: and turned the boy back into a rabbit.
[13:16] darnedpencil: At first,
[13:16] darnedpencil: the princess found him repulsive.
[13:16] darnedpencil: But then, she realized that she was in love with who he was, and not how he looked.
[13:17] darnedpencil: && they got married, had many ugly babies, and lived happily ever after.
[13:17] darnedpencil: THE END. :)

((((I'm turning it into a short story for Anna and Keila. :D))))

Everybody was KUNGFU fighting!!!

Sooo. THREE new songs. Scroll to le botte'um* and check them out.

Fergie? Serious? Who would've thought. She was the reason freshman last year thought tasty was spelled "T... to the A... to the S, T, E, Y". No kidding.

Thanks a lot, Fergaferg.

Anywho.
I got a new book today, and it's already read! "Jinx", by Meg Cabot, is amazing. Witches and red hair... Ugh. JEALOUS.
I've noticed she's kind of like me in the fact that her characters are all pretty much the same voice. What I envy is that she tells you the plot twist up front, but not exactly WHAT it is... Kind of. I don't know. Go read it.

Chris Kifer gave me a hug today, bless him. I needed that SO INCREDIBLY BAD.

And yeah, there's a story. Be prepared:
So there's this boy in my class who sits behind me in sixth hour (this all takes place in sixth hour) English II named Jake (“Jacob-but-there’s-two-of-us-and-the-other-sits-right-next-to-me-in-this-class-so-just-Jake-thankyouverymuch”), but that doesn’t really matter. I’ve decided that I hate him, and will now commonly refer to him as “The Butthole.”

Yep. It’s getting pretty heated.

Anyway, today in English, we were required to vote on which of two categories we valued more on thirteen questions, all of which we publicly announced by raising our hands to vote. The girls would go first, who picked a and then who picked b, and then the guys would go, voting on a and b like the girls.

I swear, that’s the worst activity EVER.

So, I’m not like a feminist or anything. I’m not fighting for women’s rights to do anything in the whole fa-lipping world, but if you call something girly, I’ll take your hiney out to the dumpster. It’s just how I work. I hate being cut down.
Just, you know, saying that. Because that’s how this whole thing’s going to look; like I’m some sort of feminist.

So we’re voting, every “a” answer being a worldly choice, (being popular, living comfortably, national security, etc, etc.) and “b’s” being the sensitive choice (love, true friendship, world beauty, etc, etc.).
And The Butthole sits behind me, raising his hand for the “manlier” choice and almost making fun of the guys who “aren’t manly at all.”
So every time he says something, I turn around and get in his face. Because it makes me mad that he’s putting down guys for being sweet, and overall being a little snot.
And I inform him that “Those “girly guys” are going to marry a sweet girl and live happily ever after. You, on the other hand, will either die without marriage or marry a wench who does all of your bidding.”
And he blows me off or tries to defend what he’s saying.

Now, there’s this girl who I don’t know the name of in the first place. She’s really ditzy, with long curly-ish blonde hair (They give us a bad name. Ugh.) and blue eyes, with this “LIKE OH MY LAWRD, YOU’RE JUS’ WRONG!” attitude.
Which irritates me, and I don’t like her anyways. But that’s really beside the point.

So why am I bringing this girl, now nicknamed (according to me) “The Witch” (It was worse. Thank goodness for Chris and his hugs.) into this story? What does she have to do with it?

Well, about question number nine or so, she goes “Oh my GOD. WHY do you keep getting on his A** everytime he says something!” and then proceeds to “mime” what I’m doing in a highly jerkfaced manner.

So I shut up, mentally saying all the bad words I know.

And about question twelve, she gets tired of him too, and says “Are you like, a SEXIST or something?!”
And I turn around and go “No, he just stereotypes girls and guys for what they were in the sixties.”
To which she responds, “No he doesn’t!!!”

EXCUSE ME?!
What the FLIP are you saying, woman?!

So I roll my eyes and shut up for the rest of the hour until Jacob, who’s really cool and The Butthole start talking about cars.
Me: “I will NEVER drive a car.”
Jacob: “What?! Why?! EVERYONE wants to drive.”
The Butthole: “God, you’re weird.”
Me: “NO. I mean a CAR. I get carsick in cars. I want a SUV or truck.”
Jacob: “Aaaah, I see. Haha. That’s so weird.”
Me: “Yeah, Dad wants me to get one too. They’re safe.”
TB: “Cars are safer.”
Me: “Uh. No. They aren’t.”
TB: “In a collision SUVs are safer, but trucks and SUVs roll easier.”
(Bell Rings, Chaos ensues.)
Me, yelling over noise: “If you roll a freaking car of any kind, you’re a suck-worthy dirver!”
TB, because he thinks I can’t hear him: “Did she seriously just say that about an SUV? (laughs)”

I was about ready to rip his face off, kthx.

BUT I'M BETTER. :)
CHRIS LOVES ME, DA****T, AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS.
Up yours, Butthole. :D

Haha.

The Girl All The Bad Guys Want...

(That's a song... By Bowling for Soup. Except it's got some not-too nice parts, so I'm not even going to post it, kthx, and it really doesn't apply to me in a literal sense.)

There was this guy on my bus on the way home that was, like, yelling obsenities the other day.
He scared me. He's got piercings everywhere. He flipped a guy off. He looks like he could KILL me.

...And I think he likes me.
WHAT?

He's very anti-social, or so I've seen, but he just started talking really nice to me today.
And yelled at a guy for jokingly taking one of my fundraiser candybars.
Which is flattering... But... No.

...Yeah. So. That was random.

Anywho, I picked the musical over my job.
I love to act, dangit.
Freaking hobbies.

:)

LoveLy.

9.19.2007

I Can't Believe This.

Discrimination: dis-"kri-meh-'nA-shen: n.
the act, practice, or an instance of discriminating categorically rather than individually b : prejudiced or prejudicial outlook, action, or treatment

That would be what this entry is about.
And yes, I'm fine. I just really need to vent.

This isn't about race. This isn't about the color of someones skin, where their heritage comes from, or anything that most people would see on the news.
No, this is about discrimination of age.

Today, they gave out cast parts.
I'm sorry to say, I'm already thinking about quitting.

The sophomores are just as good (some even better) than the juniors and seniors, and yet, when I got home and called Chasity, she was practically in tears because the best part that any sophomore got was a line and two solos.

WHAT THE FREAK?

What POs me even more is that the sophomore who got it, Sheridan, is in CHOIR, and if I know anything at all, isn't the best actress. But guess what? NO ONE CARES, obviously! She's a FANTASTIC dancer and singer, so I can totally see the solos, but do the teachers even KNOW how much memorizing, sweating, and crying people did over a retarded little part that they just give away to the same people as last year?!

Because I can say, right now, that there's not going to be cooperation in the theater, as far as I'm concerned. I've lost respect for our coreographer, who obviously has far too much input on stage level, and the drama teachers, who blatently lied to us about how "singing and dancing is just to see if you have a talent for it; acting's the main thing" in auditions.

Obviously, for the love of anything, not.

It gets better, too.
Last year, a girl named Jessica (then a sophomore, now a junior, if I'm right...) got pregnant and wasn't allowed to be in the production just because of all the technicalities. That was her own da**ed fault. So this year, because she was inhibited LAST year, she gets to have Sheridan's part in the second night performance; another part lost from the desperado sophomores to the teachers.

And okay, look. I know it's the teacher's performance. I'm not bringing down that it shouldn't be; but what happened to "new talent?" Disregarding sophomores, there's DOZENS of seniors that were balling in the halls today because the judges just royally screwed over their chances at getting a performing scholarship from that musical.

I don't care that I'm not a major part.
But there's so many people that were practically ignored, who have far more talent than any kid currently being put on stage.

But you know what? Have fun.
Just think of me, out with the rest of the repressed talent, out in the pointless singing/dancing ensemble that is going to cost us all a fortune when we even don't have a part. When the dance crew isn't cooperating because they're too mad at the teachers to even speak, or when the actress' and actors don't live up to the characters... The list goes on.

And really and truly, I hope that the judges get beaten by a mob of angry kids.
Because age doesn't matter. Nor do looks.
TALENT, on the other hand, is everything.

Ah, the downside of drama that no one thought existed.

9.17.2007

HAPPY?! What?!

I'm so happy.
And, like, there's not a single reason to it!

It's weird.

I'm stressing about
- Musical parts.
- Memorizing lines.
- A possible job.
- My Chem grade.
- My Chem TEACHER.
- Guys.
- Science Seminar.

But I'm still uber happy.
:D

Sok, my friend in Paris, just emailed me to say that she was home from Ecuador, hadn't fogotten me, and would write me more later, which really made me smile, since I've been missing her MUCH.

Oh, and the job. Right.
I may end up making about 250 bucks a month if the musical doesn't pull through, tutoring elementary school kids. HOW FREAKING SWEET IS THAT?!
The only thing is, I'd have no life.
...Lol. Not that I have one NOW. Haha.

OHHHH,
I'M SO HAAAAPPPPYYYYYY.

9.15.2007

Dear God...

Check it out, guys.
I just totally wrote something like never before. No kidding.

:O

Based on a gum funeral.

Yeah. That's right.
A GUM FUNERAL.
Which, you know, is actually pretty cute...
Unless it's two fifteen-year-olds.

Haha.
UGH. I'm going to be memorizing lines ALL DAY tomorrow. SHOOT ME NOW.

"And I Love You."

Awesome Site.
Like, no kidding.

:)

Go through the pictures.

9.14.2007

My Song.

This song makes me so sad.
I love it, though.
It was dedicated to me.
They still call me Delilah.

Hah. I don't really see why.

Yeah, so, anywho. I learned nothing. No callback lists were posted. Tyler Ussery, who I've recently started getting hugs from (he's so cool - Senior, btw.), was screaming at the top of his lungs NOT to go see The Pajama Game because it was going to suck.

Obviously, he knows something I don't, and it's scaring the wahoozits out of me.

OH, I have a new pet! Her name is Mildred (though I'm really not exactly sure it's a girl), she's about and inch and a half (BIG) long, and she lives outside.
She's the most amazing spider I've ever seen in my life
She's spun this web from my tree to the roof to the ground, and it's so amazingly beautiful. It reminds me slightly of Charlotte's Web.
It rained yesterday, and I was bummed because I thought she would've had to move because her web got knocked down, but NO! She's *still* there, working on her web - I dare you, if you ever see a spider like that, to sit there and watch it work. SO COOL.
Anywho, I'm okay with her. She eats the darned stupid PACKS of mosquitoes we have out here.

Oh.
And here's something for the mind:

"There’s a short supply of humor when it comes to the downfall of the United States of America. It’s most likely because someone, everywhere, had a relative that had found their way there, or had been born there after their parents migrated, that was now dead because of the Civilian's War.
I bet you that a hundred years ago, even ten if I dare, that no one was truly thinking that the U.S.A would fall. It was like that classic tale of the Titanic that happened so long ago that not even my great-great-grandparents were alive when it happened; everyone thought it was so unsinkable, so perfect and strong, and then it completely collapsed."

I'm getting a truly freaky mind. No kidding.
I lied.
For now.
It's up. :D

NaNo, that is.

:)

I'm VERY scared to check the callback list. If I'm not on it, it could be because I either didn't get in the musical, or that they've already found me a role. If I am, I'm competing for a role.

AHH. I DON'T KNOW! :O

9.13.2007

AHHH.

THEY BLOCKED NANOWRIMO.
MY NOVEMBER IS GOING TO ROYALLY SUCK.

New Song, So Here's the WONDERFUL Lyrics

This song is AMAZING. Like, I love it just because it's, uh, John Mayer, and he's got this sarcastic view on everything. But the lyrics totally blew me away. LOVE IT.

LOVE SONG FOR NO ONE
John Mayer

(Speaking)
This is a song about, uh, talking to a person that you haven't even met yet.
Maybe they're rolling around in the hay with someone else now,
but they're not as good as you are.
You just gotta' wait your turn!
She's out there, he's out there,
just learning what to contrast you against.

(guitar, starts singing)
Staying home alone on a Friday
Flat on the floor looking back
On old love
Or lack thereof
After all the crushes are faded
And all my wishful thinking was wrong
I'm jaded
I hate it

I'm tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
So tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
Get here

Searching all my days just to find you
I'm not sure who I'm looking for
I'll know it
When I see you
Until then, I'll hide in my bedroom
Staying up all night just to write
A love song for no one

I'm tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
So tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here

I could have met you in a sandbox
I could have passed you on the sidewalk
Could I have missed my chance
And watched you walk away?
Oh no way

I could have met you in a sandbox
I could have passed you on the sidewalk
Could I have missed my chance
And watched you walk away?

I'm tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
I'm so tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here

I'm tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
I'm so tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here

You'll be so good
You'll be so good for me
Oh You'll be so good

SEE?!

9.11.2007

Well. It's nine eleven.
We did NOTHING for today. D:

That made me feel kind of awkward about it.

Um, so.
AUDITIONS.
RIGHT.
SORRY.

Yesterday was the 'singing' part of the audition *cringes*. I really don't know how I think I did. I couldn't hear myself over the piano.
Today was the speaking part, and I ended up going FIRST with some other kids. I had a boring part (AND WE, BY THE WAY, DIDN'T EVEN TOUCH THE ONE I MEMORIZED.) the first time, but on second time, I got to be DRUNK. :D HOW COOL!
I like playing a drunk. :D

Anywho, I think I did lovely on that one. :)
(Which I also went first on...)

Soooo.
Yeah.
Not much going on today.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S ONLY TUESDAY. *screams, flails.*

9.10.2007

I'd Like to Rip Myself Apart.

And I didn't even know it.
Because, oh yeah, guess what?
I'm sitting here, like a freaking idiot, talking to Morgan.

...

Which brings me to a different subject: A dream that I had a few days ago.

It was freakishly real, too. No aspect of it was fake at all... Well, of course, except for the whole "dream" part that sent me over the edge.

In the dream, I was meeting Morgan at his school, where a whole bunch of us were going to all go and eat at his house for dinner. I showed up and ran up to hug him (this memory came from Moore War), but it was awkward and like I was hugging someone I didn't even know. He seemed kind of blankly surprised that I was even there (Moore War. AGAIN.), even though it had been planned. He kind of laughed a little and blew it off, but hugged me again, and apologized, saying he was sorry for Moore War (It's getting repetitive, isn't it?), and that no one else was coming with him --- That this was between us, and that he was going to explain why he was so distant and weird.
That's when, from behind, this little ADORABLE blonde boy looking about three or four walks up, and Morgan kind of hugs him with one arm, then says very carefully:
"Lauren, this is my son."

And I was all :O

BUT IT DIDN'T END THERE.
Morgan and I still went to his house and ate with his ENTIRE family. I ignored him, until he finally kicked me from underneath the table. When I didn't respond, he comes around the table and makes me follow him into his room, where I proceed to become "WHAT THE HELL MADE YOU DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT?!" Lauren.
And he basically told me it had all been a huge mistake, so long ago, and that nothing had changed between us, except for the fact that a long-ago girlfriend had handed him off a kid.
And then he kissed me, and tried to make me be okay.

Which I wasn't.
I was mentally distubed enough to wake up and lay there for two hours.

WHY DOES HE DO THIS TO ME?!

Wwweeelll.

So, first, of all, for my baby's sake,

THE FREAKING AMAZING
DENVER BRONCOS
TOTALLY KICKED BUTT YESTERDAY.

I mean, no kidding. They came back in the last second (LITERALLY), winning by a single point. BOO BUFFALO.
But, you know, it's not like I'd ever doubt them. ;P

Secondly, I've got about four hours until auditions, and every nerve in my body's screaming hyper.
Woooo.
I just hope I don't look like an idiot. Haha. I'm VERY prone to that. :D

Adios, Muchachos. :D
