Supporting Character & More

1. What is this supporting character? A person? An animal? Something else? Does the character know the protagonist? If so, when did they (or do they) meet and how?
It’s a male, and really, it’s hard to say that he’s the ‘supporting character’. I love him extremely much, just because he inspires me from Backstreet Boys songs (well, okay, not *just* because), but he’s just the same amount of antagonist that my antagonist is!
This character meets my MC (I’m scared to say this – it’s changed twice already) and is captured by her – literally.

3. How is this supporting character similar to your protagonist? How is he or she different?
Oh man.
As for similarities, I really can’t even remember. It’s hard to say. They’re both fighters, are convinced in what they believe, and are denied the common luxuries of life by their positions, while, as for differences, they’re on opposite sides, he’s not as hooked on money and fame, he can read, and pretty much anything else. They’re not alike much, yet the personalities kind of click.

4. What does this supporting character look like? Hair color? Height? Distinguishing features?
He’s charming, and looks it. He has this rugged look, like he doesn’t have time to even think about things, with light-toned brown hair and an athletic build. He’s rather tall, with light brown eyes, and has no use of his right pinky because of an accident involving the death of his younger sister only months back. He’s nineteen-years-old, and too mature for his age.

5. What is this supporting character’s favorite outfit?
Anything that doesn’t smell, honestly. He’s got a very eccentric taste, and usually wears just whatever he can find, though he does dress for trouble.

6. What clothes would this supporting character never get caught dead wearing?
…Girl’s clothes, and he uber-hates dressy clothes, though he does wear them sometimes to blend in.

7. What is this supporting character’s favorite thing about the protagonist?
How human she is compared to the other Trackers, and how she keeps impersonal. It’s intriguing to him.
He still hates her, though.

8. What are this supporting character's hobbies?
Playing the piano. He could do that for hours.

9. What can this supporting character do better than anyone else?
Negotiate.

10. What makes this supporting character happy after he or she has had a bad day?
His second sister, or his girlfriend, of course. When he’s amazingly angry or frustrated, he’ll go to his piano.

11. What makes this supporting character angry?
Trackers. Ignorance. Death. The fact that his surname carries a bad reputation that he more than likely caused, making his sister incapable to even dream about a future.

12. What are this supporting character’s parents like? How about the rest of his or her family?
His youngest sister, the one who was killed, was thirteen years old and aspired to be a dancer, which would never have happened because she’s associated with his family. She was innocent and gorgeous, with big green eyes and hazel-hued hair – the same eyes and hair that his other sister, 16, possesses, though she prefers to fight, although the death of her younger sister made her afraid and angry at everything. Their mother left them with their father when he was young, and their father is a big-league lawyer for the young starlets that consume his life in every way.

13. What's one secret this supporting character hasn't ever told anyone?
He’s a twin.

14. Is this supporting character outgoing? Shy? What do people think when they first meet this supporting character? Is he or she different than the protagonist?
So different – I think we already covered this.
When someone first meets him, someone who doesn’t know what side he’s on, they’re prone to finding him charming and sweet, though official. He’s not extremely outgoing, though if talked to, he’ll hold a conversation.

15. Describe this supporting character in three words:
Tired.
Grown-up.
Leader.

16. Pretend for a moment that this supporting character is really nervous. What does this supporting character do with that nervous energy? (Tap his or her toe against the floor? Hum a song?)
Compose melodies, and hum them under his breath.

17. Write a sentence describing how this supporting character walks.
He walks easily, with a slightly relaxed demeanor about him that makes him seem unhurried and friendly.

18. Write a sentence describing how this supporting character stands. What’s his or her posture like?
He leans against anything he can, and puts his hands in his pockets constantly.

19. What do you really like about this supporting character?
How laid back he is, and how he’s been through hell, but it hasn’t changed his story too incredibly much. He’s just more determined.

20. What do you dislike about this supporting character?
Besides the fact that when I think of him, Chase Crawford pops into my head, I hate that he still hates so much stuff, and that he puts all of this blame on other people, when there shouldn’t be any at all.

21. What is this supporting character’s greatest weakness?
His girls.

22. What is the one thing this supporting character fears most?
Losing his sister or letting his people down. He fears that he won’t change anything for the future generations of the very people who are risking it all to help him.

23. What does this supporting character want more than anything else in the world?
To bring down the government restrictions and stop the rogue cops they use to patrol the streets.

1. If this supporting character could change his or her name, what would he or she change it to?
I have to think that he wouldn’t; that instead, he might change his middle name to whatever his sister’s name was.

2. What is this supporting character’s favorite band? Song? Type of music?
He loves anything classical, most of which was supposedly ‘lost’ so many years ago. His favorite song is the one he made for his little sister for her to dance to,

3. What is this supporting character’s favorite book and why?
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It’s one that was passed down secretly to him, and it gives him hope that maybe, one day, he won’t be afraid to share it.

4. What is this supporting character’s favorite season?
Winter.

5. What places, other than where he or she lives now, has this supporting character lived or visited on vacation? Which one was his or her favorite and why?
He has never been on vacation, although he’s been to New York. He found it in almost a ghetto state, though, and didn’t enjoy it. He prefers his old home, back in South Carolina, though he’s banned from going back because of the warrant out for him.

6. What does this supporting character’s house look like? What is hanging on this supporting character’s bedroom walls?

He doesn’t necessarily have a bedroom – in the complex all of them live in now, he has a bright orangeish pink room with a old yellowed curtain that hangs over the window on the far wall. It’s the size of a hotel room, and he shares it with his girlfriend and sister for lack of space. The entire complex looks run-down, and they’ve had to rennovate it a lot. They move all the time – whenever they get wind of someone finding their hideout.

7. What is the best thing that ever happened to this supporting character?
His “family” of ‘rebels’.

8. What is the worst thing that ever happened to this supporting character?
Losing his family.

9. Think about this supporting character’s different moods. Now, try to imagine what this supporting character does with his or her body during these moods. (For example, some people pound their fists on the table when they are angry, or they whistle when they are happy.) Write a few words describing this supporting character’s body during these different moods:

Happy: He smiles a lot, and plays with the younger group that tag along with them.

Angry: He’s playing the piano rabidly.

Sad: He doesn’t cry – Instead, he writes music, or letters to no one.

Thoughtful: He’ll stay in his room, maybe, staring at the ceiling, or he’ll go and write.

Curious: He’s very distant, as if he’s thinking something over heavily.

10. What is this supporting character’s biggest pet peeve?
People who don’t understand.

11. What makes this supporting character most uncomfortable?
Being put in situations that bring up bad subjects.

12. Describe how this supporting character speaks. Does this supporting character have a lisp? An accent? Does he or she use a lot of slang, or end every sentence with “okay,” etc.?
No accent, although he does sigh a lot.

13. If a song played every time this supporting character walked into a room, what song would it be?
Graham Colton – Best Days

So yes. I love him.
I just need names.
Which is why I also equally love babynames.com.

Oh, and for Anna - here's my pitiful attempt at my MC. The thing is, this is the one that doesn't fit her description because the story lines evolves her into who she was before anything happened to her:

Anyway.
I'm tired.
I might go take a nap.
